Almost four decades ago, Ocean Bank’s founders saw an opportunity to better serve our ever-growing diverse business community. One day, as the group sat in front of the ocean, they were inspired by the powerful waves and decided to create a new financial institution — Ocean Bank — to address the needs of the diverse business community in South Florida.

And in 1982, Ocean Bank was founded by this group of successful entrepreneurs. It had just 14 employees. In 1983, they built and moved into their current headquarters on the corner of LeJeune Road and Northwest 7th Street in Miami-Dade County. Ocean Bank’s founders shared a common financial vision and true dedication to making an impact on South Florida’s future.

The fundamental principles of offering exceptional customer service and tailored financial products have earned Ocean Bank its status as a leader in the local banking industry and the largest privately-owned commercial bank headquartered in Florida.
